Our favourite thing about this cosy bar is that it actually takes inspiration from its Geelong customers for its cocktail menu, truly making its regulars feel at home.
From well-done classics to elaborate concoctions, the original classics are the heroes with names such as Penny from the Block, Rachel Rebel, Wendy’s Tonic and The Howie. We hear the Brandy Snap Matt is the one to try though, tasting literally like a brandy snap in a glass – yes please! And just for $18, these delicious concoctions are a steal!
You can also enjoy beer and wine if you are that way inclined – especially with their happy hour from 5:30pm everyday and all day Tuesday. With $4 Furphy’s and $6 house wines, what’s not to love?
While the drink options and decor more than hold their own, it’s the meal options at Cabinet that capture our attention, with a range of share dishes. Flatbreads and a mix of tapas provide the backbone to a much-loved menu. We recommend you indulge in the flatbreads which have six different topping combinations to choose from. Perfect for a group catch up with the guarantee of a flavour to suit everyone – and you can get them for just $10 on Wednesdays.
