Tiber (aka Daniel Modica) has made a career of jumping to the next level and had just released his immense new single, ‘Good 4 U.’
A song that builds upon the lessons he’s learned fusing trap, future beats and electronica, ‘Good 4 U’ sees Tiber incorporate a new pop dynamic for the first time, pushing his sound to an exciting new level.
In the span of just a few short years, the Geelong-based producer has elevated himself from bedroom beat-maker, from making his namesake public in 2014 to the first ever signing on Moonbase’s Trench Records.
Since 2014 he has been uploading madly to Soundcloud and triple j unearthed, receiving rave reviews for his fresh take on trap music – which was seen by some as becoming less frequent in the industry.
Singles like ‘Wings’ and ‘Warrior’ have captured the attention of internet tastemakers and international radio alike, and he’s quickly established himself as one of the most innovative Australian producers in the trap and future-bass scene, with a flair that sits him fairly on the global stage.
Tiber also expanded his repertoire on ‘Good 4 U’, pairing with a vocalist (who will remain nameless) for the first time in his career, that allowed him to manoeuvre into new territory.
“Working with a vocalist in the studio is something I’d always wanted to try, so being able to do that was really fun. The song itself is about going out of your way to do anything for your significant other, making things worth their time and making it good for them, even if it means you go a little crazy in the process.”
‘Good 4 U’ is the first single to be lifted from Tiber’s forthcoming EP, Moments, which is set for release later in 2017 via Trench Records. Check it out below.
