Have your say in The Age Music Victoria Awards 

Following the success of the self-nominating process for the genre categories, 2017 submissions are open across all categories for Victorian artists, venues and festivals to nominate themselves, or another they believe deserves to be considered for The Awards.

Once all entries have been compiled, a select industry panel of experts determines final nominees for all categories.

The categories open for submissions are: Best Regional Venue (under 50
gigs per year), Best Regional Venue (over 50 gigs per year), Best Venue
(under 500 capacity), Best Venue (over 500 capacity) and Best Festival.
Best Blues Album, Best Country Album, Best Soul, Funk, RnB or Gospel
Album, Best Jazz Album, Best Hip Hop Album, Best Electronic Act, Best
Heavy Album, Best Indigenous Act, Best Global or Reggae Album, Best Folk
or Roots Album and Best Experimental or Avant-Garde Act.

The Age Music Victoria Awards in Australia

The Age Music Victoria Awards celebrate its 12th year in 2017, with what will be a massive line up of Victoria’s best musical talent at 170 Russell on Wednesday 22 November, during Melbourne Music Week. 

Co-presented by Triple R 102.7FM and PBS 106.7FM, the full After Party line
up will be announced in September. After last years sold out event, early bird tickets are now on sale via Moshtix.

Eligibility Criteria for the nominees include at least 50% of our act has been living in Victoria for the last two years, released an EP or album between 1 October 2016 and 31 August 2017 and Victorian venues or festival.

Submissions are now open until Thursday 31 August, here the website.

All nominees will be announced Friday 13 October.
