Tributes have been flowing in from around the world after the death of Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington. The music community are heartbroken from this news, but also highlights the way the community can come together in light of tragic times.
This Sunday, the Geelong Music Community Collective is proud to bring you a night of late 90’s/early naughties nu metal. If your head ever banged to Korn, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Incubus or any other alternative metal then this is the night for you.
This night will be in tribute of Chester Bennington, who inspired so many of us. Musicians playing on the night feature the likes of Stu Caldwell, Tony Calleja, Jake Camilleri, Bruce Corrin, Taylor Douglas, John Downey, Andrea Ficara, Daniel Fusella, Malcolm Gage, Glen Giacometti, Adam Giles, Steve Hobbs, Matthew Jelley, Keaton Marin, Paul Meddings, Tayla Meddings, Glen Parker, James Richardson, Robin Ricketts, Adrian Trinchera and Adam Zaffarese.
This sonic assault will be unleashed on August 6 at the Barwon Club and tickets will be $10 at the door, with all proceeds will be going to Impact SRC in support of the GMCC Travel Scholarship, helping fund students and researchers share ideas and knowledge in the fight against mental health disorders.
