Disco fever will hit A Day on the Green in December

Get ready to boogy. From December 7 to 17th, an outbreak of disco fever will rapidly spread through Australia.

A Day on the Green will be hit with five massive shows combining the
greatest disco legends out there – KC and the Sunshine Band, Village People, Sister Sledge and Australia’s very own disco queen, Marcia Hines.

These shows will be outdoors nationwide, however Melburnians and Sydneysiders get an extra chance to shake their booties at one indoor show each, Margaret Court Arena on December 12th in Melbourne and Hordern Pavilion on December 14th in Sydney.

This tour welcomes Victor Willis back to Village People, the original lead singer and ‘cop’. It will be the first time he’s performed as part of the group in over 25 years.

“The biggest initial break in my career was in Australia in 1976 when I starred as the Tin Man in the Australian version of ‘The Wiz’,” says Victor. “So really, it all started for me there. Therefore, it’s fitting that I kick off my return as the lead singer in Australia because the people there loved me first.”

The kings of boogie and the queens of disco combine to bring you classics such as That’s The Way (I Like It), Give It Up, Boogie Shoes, Get Down Tonight, Shake Your Booty, Can’t Stop The Music, Y.M.C.A, In The Navy, Macho Man, We Are Family, He’s The Greatest Dancer, and so much more.

Get down with the boogie and feel the funk this December!
