Ballarat have a Brew Festival on this weekend

Celebrating all things brew, Ballarat will be the place to be to enjoy craft beer, warming cider, mulled wine, indulgent hot chocolate and soothing tea blends.

Taking place on Saturday, July 22, the one-day event will be held as part of the Ballarat Winter Festival at the historic Mining Exchange and will celebrate the region’s brews from a range of vendors.

Ballarat’s prized craft brewers Athletic Club, Red Duck, Cubby Haus and Kilderkin Distillery will showcase their much-loved bevs, while craft beer stalls from Coach House Ale, Hop Temple and The Mallow will deliver their renowned local brews. The breweries will also be launching a winter-specific brew on the day, in collaboration with Federation University.

For the wine lovers, award-winning wineries Summerfield and Wimmera Hills will present their acclaimed red wines, while the non-alcoholic drinkers will be able to delight in decadent hot chocolates from Grounded Pleasures, unique tea blends from Ballarat’s One Little Leaf and coffee from local roaster Hellbilly.

The Ballarat Brew Festival will be held on July 22 from 1pm. Tickets cost $10. For more information, visit www.ballaratwinterfestival.com.au
