Brisbane’s BIGSOUND festival has announced its second round of speakers for this year’s conference, including keynote speeches by Speedy Ortiz frontwoman Sadie Dupuis and the co-founder of indie label PIAS, Kenny Gates.
Also joining the BIGSOUND speakers lineup today are the likes of Pitchfork writer Jillian Mapes, UK Vevo talent manager Carl Young, US tastemaker label Captured Tracks A&R Mike Sniper, US booking powerhouse Paradigm Talent Agency’s Jackie Nalpant and Marshall Betts, ARIA CEO Dan Rosen as well as C3 Management’s Joe Greenwald.
The list of new speakers join the likes of Tina Arena, Archie Roach and triple j‘s Music Director Nick Findlay on speaking duties at this year’s event.
On top of that, more than 130 musicians will set foot in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley to display their burgeoning talent. Total Giovanni, nyck, Hockey Dad, Clowns and Winston Surfshirt are just some of the artists performing live for Australia’s biggest music event.
BIGSOUND is also set to include a new Music Tech Showcase this year, which will give 10 tech innovators the chance to show off their creations. Entries close on 15th July, and you can find more info at the BIGSOUND website.
