Up The Guts Tour returns for 2017

Returning this year is the Up The Guts National Rock and Roll Tour – the touring festival that heads right through the outback of Australia.

Starting from Melbourne on August 10, the tour will be making its way through Bendigo, Castlemaine and Warrnambool, and brings with it a busload of artists as well as local artists in each town.

On tour are Dumb Punts, Loose Tooth, Neighbourhood Youth and a collection of hardened Guts veterans back for another year (Jack Parsons – The Pretty Littles, Jo Syme – Big Scary, and Joe Alexander – Scott and Charlene’s Wedding).

Following the success of this ambitious mission in 2016, the tour will again bring a motley assortment of Melbourne rockers to capital cities, regional centres and isolated communities throughout VIC, SA and the NT as a testament to music’s ability to connect people from all walks of life.

‘Guts 2017 will also involve an extended amount of school workshops presented by the organisers, performers and crew members of the tour, made possible by APRA AMCOS.

Aiming to reach upwards of 1000 young Australians nationwide, these sessions will give invaluable insight into performance, navigating the music industry and how to effectively use equipment/technology in today’s musical landscape.
