Previous Mayor of Geelong, Darryn Lyons is heading down to Entrepreneurs Geelong’s next In Conversation Breakfast to discuss his entrepreneurial journey and the many successes and pitfalls of his career.
Lyons is an award-winning photographer, media personality and seasoned entrepreneur, whose career has always been as colourful as his iconic fluorescent hair.
Yet on Friday 7 July from 7.15am at the Australia Post Small Business Hive, Lyons will share the ‘man behind the mo-hawk’ and the events which shaped his eventful journey as a self made entrepreneur. From gaining a cadetship as a photographer at the Geelong News and Geelong Advertiser, to becoming a war correspondent during the Bosnian War, Lyons will reveal that there is always more than what meets the eye, or in his case, the hair.
Entrepreneurs Geelong organise regular In Conversation Networking Breakfast events that seek to educate, inform, and inspire attendees while celebrating entrepreneurship in the greater Geelong region. With 450 members, the Entrepreneurs Geelong community is thriving and will only benefit from Lyons, who has had a significant impact on the Geelong region.
