The Bridge Hotel named Best Regional Venue

The Bridge Hotel is known to most as fresh and approachable with just a touch of fancy, and now to add to their description they have been once again named as the Best Regional Venue by The Age Music Victoria Awards.

Cleverly merging an inviting design, sultry vibe and playful bistro with the comfort of a traditional Victorian pub, The Bridge Hotel’s beautiful 1860s heavy wooden doors were opened wide once again last year, after having its doors closed for months.

With the kitchen left in the capable hands of head chef Marcus Barnfield, the menu entices with classic pub dishes, the seasonal and organic menu features an extensive list of moreish grazing items. Think salads, seasonal mains and traditional counter meals seven days, along with Pasta night on Mondays and Taco Tuesdays for those weeknight cravings.

Along with the food, the pub draws in the punters with cold beer and local wines, and classic cocktails (or even the delectable salted caramel espresso martini). However, it’s the live music that is the pubs biggest drawcard in Castlemaine. Whether it be indie, country or rock, The Bridge brings in the locals, groupies and music aficionados from all over the region to celebrate live music. With the likes of Courtney Barnett, Kid Kongo, Henry Wagons, Ella Hooper, The Pretty Littles, Hugo Race, Harry Howard, Dallas Crane plus many more gracing the stage, there is no shortage of fine music here, rightfully earning them the title of best regional venue.

If you’re into escaping the big smoke, seeing great music or need some damned fine country air, The Bridge is a country pub that sure as hell knows what she’s doing.

The Bridge Hotel is located at 21-23 Walker Street, Castlemaine and is open seven days 12pm – 2pm, 6pm – 9pm
