Held on the first Thursday of each month, The Eastern in Ballarat is helping non-music folk (or at least those otherwise not in a band) have their moment in the spotlight with live band karaoke.
Essentially, it’s the same set-up as the traditional karaoke, but instead of hitting play an actual band perform behind you as you sing the track. Basically, this is your time to pretend you’ve ‘made it’.
While we’ve just missed one this month, the next few are scheduled for July 6, August 3, September 7, October 5 – you get the gist.
