L.I.V.E – Raising awareness for Motor Neurone Disease

L.I.V.E. (Lukeys Independent Variety Entertainment) is an innovation of Surfcoast musician Lukey Luke and is his way of helping promote local artists and raise awareness for local charities.

This month, L.I.V.E is putting on one massive event at The Deck in Geelong to help local charity legend Chris Hall, and raise awareness for his charity work via ‘Wheel4MND’ – an initiative where Hall is wheeling in his wheelchair 50km per month, to try and raise as much money as possible to donate to MND Victoria. The loss of a work colleague after a 14 month battle with Motor Neurone Disease is what inspired Hall in his mission to help others, and has touched many others around him, including the team at The Deck, Lukey Luke and the four bands set to perform.

MND

All homegrown talents, L.I.V.E will see Migdetfist, Trick Gypsy, Capella and Sierra Leone take to the stage. This show will be 100% Original Music, and these bands are keen as mustard to entertain you with their songs and stage craft.

On the night, there will also be an auction thanks to the team at Music Workshop who have donated a brand new home music studio bundle valued at over $400, with all money raised also going towards this great cause – and entry to the event is just $5.

L.I.V.E. is currently looking for major and minor sponsors to support this first show. If you know of any individual or business that would like to give funds or donate merchandise to raffle or auction, please call 0417584701. The guys would love to have you join.

L.I.V.E. – setting a tone conducive of charity, music appreciation, and most of all, community participation.

When & Where: The Deck, Geelong – June 11
