The National Celtic Festival expands its lineup, proving to be one of our region’s finest

Australasia’s leading Celtic gathering is just over a week away and the National Celtic Festival is ready to go with an impressive line up of entertainment.

Adam Sutherland and Marc Clement (Scotland), Dáire Mulhern (Ireland) and leading Scottish cultural organisation Feis Rois are just some of the latest international acts to join the line up for 2017.

Australian bands The Borderers, Rich Davies & The Low Road and The Good Girl Song Project also feature in the festivities designed to celebrate rich cultures through a range of diverse activites.

The newly announced acts join artists such as Calan (Wales), Paul McKenna (Scotland) and multi-cultural trio Kevin Crawford, Patrick Doocey and Colin Farrell (Ireland/US) for the four-day celebrations this June.

Other festival highlights include the Geelong Scottish Dance group, the Portarlington Harmonica Band and an array of storytelling sessions occurring across the long weekend.

The National Celtic Festival takes place in Portarlington from Friday June 9 to Monday June 12. Tickets via the festival website.
