The Sunday roast events are back in Ballarat, kicking off at the Art Gallery this weekend

After selling out for the entirety of the 2016 season, Restaurant Ballarat is back in action for 2017. Returning over the period of May and early June, Broadsheet will be presenting a short series of Sunday roasts in the countryside town of Ballarat.

Restaurant Ballarat aims to showcase the produce and talent which is inherent in the region and will do so with each Sunday roast being hosted in a different location, by a different local chef.

This year’s season will be launched by Peter Ford of Peter Ford Catering, on Sunday May 7. Ford’s Sunday Roast menu is said to include a mouth-watering Yorkshire pudding with shaved roast beef, horseradish and beef jus, followed by a roasted crown of young chicken with truffle butter and a sage and onion stuffing…insert heavy breathing.

Each event will feature a three-course lunch, with a drink on arrival and matched wines sourced from Pyrenees makers optional.

The launch event will be hosted from 1-4pm in the Grand Oddie Room at the Art Gallery of Ballarat. Sure to be yet another sell-out season, be quick to grab your tickets via the website.
