The Aussie music media icons riding across the UK for charity

Australian heavy music PR legend Chris Maric is teaming up with Carl Neumann, owner/editor of Heavy Magazine, to partake in the 2017 Heavy Metal Truants charity bike ride.

In 2016, Maric completed the 275km journey from London to Castle Donington, the home of Download Festival, alongside Rod Smallwood. This year he’s bringing along another friend to tackle the fifth incarnation of Heavy Metal Truants.

Suitably titled HMT V – Revenge Of The Fifth, the crusade will be home to some of the most illustrious heavy music personalities as they raise money for children’s charities, Nordoff Robbins, Teenage Cancer Trust and Childline.

Maric and Neumann are aiming to raise £2600 for the foundations, which are working diligently towards respective causes. In 2016, Heavy Metal Truants raised £102,000, the equivalent of $173,000.

Any donation is greatly appreciated, head to their JustGiving webpage to check it out.
