Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2016

Discover the world’s most prestigious wildlife photography collection by visiting the world-renowned Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2016 exhibition.

With breath-taking wild landscapes and intimate animal portraits coming direct from London’s Natural History Museum, the exhibition is on display now at the National Wool Museum, the only Victorian venue to house the exhibition.

The collection features 100 awe-inspiring wildlife images, that reflect some of the best photographers’ passion for the natural world and the astonishing diversity of animal life, from the stunning vast ocean, urban foxes to penguins huddled in the Antarctic snowstorm and a swarm of Mexican free-tailed bats flocking at twilight.

2016 was the 52nd year for the competition-based exhibition, which received almost 50,000 entries from 96 countries, highlighting its enduring appeal as the ultimate photographic showcase of the natural world. The images are then judged by a panel of international experts, and selected for their creativity, originality and technical excellence, classed as some of the world’s best nature photography.

The exhibition will on display at National Wool Museum (26-32 Moorabool Street, Geelong) until May 14 2017.

Wildlife Photographer of the Year is developed and produced by the Natural History Museum, London.
