Shimmerlands just revealed a stack of free outdoor shows

After revealing their first-class cinema lineup, Shimmerlands have dropped a stack of free outdoor shows that are shaping up to be a summer stunner.

The team at Supple Fox will be bringing together the likes of Spike Fuck, Mick Turner, Gregor with Sweet Whirl, Slippy Mane with Lalić, Spartak with Aphir, and a special Australia Day performance from Bärra – West Wind complemented by a screening of Spear.

Elsewhere, DJ Andee Frost has pulled together a stellar showcase featuring sets from The First Baboon Civilization Orchestra, River Yarra with Millu and Liluzu, Brooke Powers with Wahe, Perno Inferno, Bahdoesa and a live set from Geyron.

More shows to look forward to include free sets from Pikelet, Jazz Party, Waving At Trains All Stars with Harvey Sutherland and Krakatau, Claudia Jones with DJ Manchild and Colette, RRR All Stars, as well as the ticketed SKA-BQ event featuring Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Ska Vendors, Nononsense, Project Ska Collective, Mohair Slim and Jesse I. That not enough for you? Make sure to get down to Parquet Courts, one of the most hotly anticipated acts on the lineup.

Shimmerlands will screen over 45 films within the University of Melbourne, as well as hosting live music and outdoor dining, from Thursday January 5 – Sunday February 26. Stay tuned for more music announcements as the lineup continues to grow. Head to their website for full details.
