The Village Door is the newest cafe to open on Pakington Street

Officially opening yesterday (Tuesday, December 13), the Village Door is the newest cafe to open on Pakington Street in Geelong West.

Taking place where Warren & Hutch used to be, this new cafe is all about the smells and tastes of Europe with hearty meals and tasty coffee.

Each dish is made by European chefs, ensuring authenticity with each home made recipe. As their site says, “In summer, enjoy sitting in the sun in our alfresco area and in winter, snuggle up on our couches in front of the cosy gas log fire whilst enjoying an antipasto platter or two, the choice is yours. Come and enjoy each others company at your very own village, at The Village Door.”

Throughout the week there’ll be various European themed nights, with Polish Tuesday featuring Sweet potato and cheese pierogi, Hungarian Wednesday with Hungarian goulash, German Thursday with Fried Bratwurst sausage and Belgian Friday with Belgian waffles served with ice cream strawberries and melted Belgian chocolate. For the full menu head here, specials are subject to change but it’s a point of different for the street.

You can find the cafe on Facebook or at 156 Pakington St, Geelong West.
