Sunday afternoons are never easy. Maybe you’ve spent the morning out and about, or you’re nursing a hangover from a big Saturday night, and as the time goes on, it looms on you that soon it will be the dreaded return to work with a full week ahead.
With all this going on, it seems there is no better cure than a Sunday Session to pep you up for the week ahead, and get your summer off to a cracking start.
Thanks to the Royal Geelong Yacht Club, Sunday Summer Sessions on the Lawn are the newest social (and super casual) gathering on Sunday afternoons down at the Waterfront.
Held at the Yacht Club itself, the surrounding views, the live music atmosphere and crowd will help you forget it’s Sunday – and best of all, it’s free!
The sessions will host some of the best local musicians, with this month featuring Beth and Dean on the 11th, and Cailah Ashlee on the 18th.
Along with the music, there will also be paddle boarding and sailing for those with the energy, otherwise the lawn is the perfect place to relax with a delicious jug of Pimms or a bucket of Peroni.
Sunday sessions are the perfect excuse to get out and about on a balmy afternoon (after a solid sleep in of course), meet some new people and finish 2016 off with some chilled summer vibes.
Bring your bestie, round up a crew, or even fly solo. Either way there will be live music, cold beverages and sunshine – absolutely perfect!
