A massive day of polo, food, wine and entertainment is coming to Geelong next year

If you’ve never seen a live polo match, now is your chance to do so, as the largest polo match ever for Geelong is coming to town on January 26 (aka Australia day).

Also with delicious food, wine, entertainment and the polo-fashion, the event is set to become of the highlights of the social calendar and really put Geelong on the map.

The event will see world class professional players come to town as will the tradition of ‘stomping the divots’, which essentially is when the spectators enter the playing field to stomp in the clumps of grass the horses have brought up.

The Australia Day Polo event is an official partner of the Festival of Sails, which runs at the Waterfront from January 21-24.

It all goes down on January 26 (11am-5pm) at Eastern Gardens in Geelong. Visit the website to purchase tickets or check out the Facebook page for more info.
