Geelong welcomes the third annual writing festival Word for Word in November.
As Australia’s largest non-fiction writing festival, there will be an array of well known authors speaking and holding discussions on various topics within the realm of non-fiction writing, literature and ideas.
Some of Australia’s most famous non-fiction writers featured include Maxine Beneba Clarke, Stan Grant, Dave O’Neil, Alicia Sometimes, Ross McMullin, Shireen Morris, Peter FitzSimmons, Kate Larsen, Matthew Thompson, Elisa Black, Damon Young and Abdi Aden – just to name a few.
There will also be a series of specialist workshops held for those wanting to hone their skills at the Belmont and Waurn Ponds branch libraries on Friday November 18, as well as a great debate with MC Angela Pippos on Saturday evening.
