Five Artists Not to Miss at Bendigo Blues & Roots

Kylie Auldist
Renowned as the leading lady of ARIA award nominated band The Bamboos, Kylie is at the centre stage of the funk, soul and disco scene in Australia. With a remarkable voice and electric energy on stage with a huge dose of boogie power, Kylie provides an absolute dance experience for everyone.

Jackson Firebird
Mildura’s duo Jackson Firebird (aka Dale Hudak and Brendan Harvey) are an explosive aussie rock outfit – with riotous riffs, slide guitar, distorted vocals, and the unconventional drumming styling of a bottle-bin, these guys will be providing straight up rock blues.

Alister Turrill
A songwriter unlike other young roots players. Alister’s playing style blends a true form of blues with complex song writing seldom seen in someone so young. In his two years performing, he has played a bunch of festivals and released his debut album.

Little Georgia
Folk grudge duo Ashleigh Mannix and Justin Carter came together after several years together on the road. Exploring their passion for song writing, these guys did their first project in 2015, delivering beautiful harmonies and compelling lyrics. Continuing their life on the road, they’ve been touring Australia and North America and this year released their debut album Bootleg.

Benny Walker
Hailing from regional Victoria, this singer/songwriter is the real deal. Performing at some of the country’s best-loved festivals, Benny mixes blues and roots with a contemporary soul vibe the song sees a strengthening of the vocal and its range with love songs and epic tales including stories of the land, people and summer vibes.
