The Black Aces are Heading to Europe and They’re Throwing a Party to Get There

Proudly born and bred in Bendigo, the Black Aces were made to rock. They rock the Kasbah. They rock the Free World. They rock the Suburbs. They are the city upon which rock and roll was built. And they’re heading for Europe.

Now, this is no European vacation, although they may still find time for the odd bit of sightseeing. This is more of a fact-finding mission to see whether European audiences can handle their hard rocking ways.

This sort of thing is not cheap, though, so they’re putting on a show to help raise some funds. Door prizes and a good old-fashioned meat and slab raffle will be among the extra goodies on the night. Local blues duo TJ & Son will also be there.

The extensive UK and European tour sounds pretty sweet. Taking in eleven countries and more than 40 dates, the tour includes a spot on the bill of the Hard Rock Hell music festival where they’ll join the likes of Ugly Kid Joe, Living Colour and Glenn Hughes.

As for the band, they’ve enjoyed a stellar 12 months. They signed with French label Bad Reputation, set up independent label Black Aces Music, and released their debut album Shot in the Dark.

It all takes place at The Vine, Bendigo on August 12. Tickets are a cool $10 visit the Facebook event for more.
