Located on the highway to Torquay the spacious Grovedale Hotel is a mainstay on Geelong’s dining roster. The Grovedale has it all, with multiple dining areas for all occasions; whether it’s a parmi with live sport to watch in the background, or a tasting plate while a live musician plays in the Juke. The menu boasts affordable dishes that don’t skimp on quality and it’s ‘no fuss’ vibe means it is the best place for a much-needed break from home cooking.
The Members End offers an enormous dining space and freshly renovated surrounds. With a focus on live sports you can currently enjoy a ‘Live Sport Special’ which is an offer in which you can ‘choose two or three dishes from the share plate menu’, which includes wings, loaded fries and many other tasty offerings for $16 or $24. At that price you can also add four Carlton Dry Stubs on ice for $18, from Thursday to Sunday. The Members End guarantees every sport, every game, every day on Foxtel and free to air, if it’s live they will have it on!
Then there’s ‘The Juke’, which is the stylish front bar area at the Grovedale Hotel. In the spirit of always making sure each area offers something, ‘The Juke’ has an an open-air garden bar with a retractable roof, a rustic design and a welcoming atmosphere. The Juke serves up live music, craft beers and with an amazing menu. Right now for instance, you can experience a Linguini Arrabiata with scallops, calamari, and mussels or there are also delicious share plates from $8 that are available all day seven days a week. You can grab Friday and Saturday bar meals ’til 10pm.
As a whole, if there’s anything that Joel can assure us of, it’s high quality delivered in each dish and without the exclusive price tag.
