An Exhibition Featuring Art From Refugees Will Premiere In Melbourne

The exhibition is billed as the only one of its kind in both Australia and Europe, and will be making its Australian premiere.

Through Jungle Eyes: Refugee photography and volunteer artwork from Calais will present photographic art from Jungleye, a group of refugee photographers inside the Calais camp known as ‘The Jungle’. The exhibition frames a completely unique perspective – that of people who are experiencing forced dispersal themselves.

The opening night will feature an introduction and Q&A session with some of the exhibitors, a live cross with photographer Baraa and Calais volunteer and artist Ali Reid.

The exhibition will run at The Stables, corner of Wreckyn and Coutney street, North Melbourne from Friday June 17 to Sunday June 19. Head to their Facebook event for more details.
