Four Lions Lock in Castlemaine Show

Formed out of Bendigo in 2014, Four Lions lend their name from a drinking fountain in their hometown which was designed by prolific architect William Vahland and discontinued from public use in 1906.

With that bit of pub trivia out of the way, the alt country band released their debut album, Charing Cross, in 2015. Three of the album’s singles, ‘Twenty Seven’, ‘Brittle’ and ‘Charing Cross’ all made the Top 10 of triple j Unearthed’s Roots Charts.

According to a Facebook post at the beginning of the month, the band was about to begin their final rehearsals before entering the studio to record their second album on reel to reel tape.
