‘Americana’ has recently seeped back into fashion and now into music, being the main genre behind Sean McMahon & The MoonMen’s debut album Shiner.
With nods to alt.country, folk and rock – this new album delivers quality song-writing, delivered by McMahon’s recognisable husky voice.
Shiner is described as being personal at times, but good luck distinguishing it from McMahon’s otherwise ambiguous and playful poetic prose. Known for engaging live performances, McMahon and band members Josh Duiker and Michael Hubbard are heading to hometown Melbourne for their album launch and it’s bound to be a good one.
