Switch Magazine is Looking for Submissions

Do you live in Geelong? Perhaps you’re new to the city but have an opinion on it? Switch Magazine is looking for articles about or inspired by the city for its next issue. So if you like putting pen to paper, and seeing your work in print, now’s your chance.

As for the magazine, Switch is for young people by young people. A team of dedicated editing volunteers collate pieces and organise to have it published and distributed across the region. The magazine is a 35 page matte magazine with 1000 copies printed for each issue and distributed to youth venues and schools around the region. Best of all it’s 100% free!

Switch conveys a positive view of young people and expresses individual opinions on a range of topics and issues they face as young residents of Geelong. Past issues have seen interviews with local creatives, businesses, reviews on new releases, opinion pieces on topical issues and more. Most importantly, it’s about creating the conversation about Geelong in some way.

Young people 12-25 years old are able to submit articles, photos, games and reviews, or just fun incidental things to an editorial team of young people and workers. All articles are discussed regarding relevance and merit.

For all submissions or for further information please email [email protected]. The magazine is a project run by the City of Greater Geelong.
