From a childhood spent in Western Australia, songwoman Tracey Bunn has performed and adventured through Darwin, New Orleans, Mexico, Nashville and Ireland.
In Darwin she performed country rock in the late eighties; in Ireland, she found herself playing folk music.
In between, she has dabbled in Cajun, Zydeco, mariachi music and western swing. After much travelling she found herself back in Australia in 1999 where, together with Glenyss Ray, she embarked on a six-year journey as the Toe Sucking Cowgirls. Following a breather from music to collect herself, she found the inspiration to record her debut solo album.
By the Wayside is that album. Radio Springs Hotel, Lyonville – May 7.
