Warped Play Barwon Club Tonight

In a book of Geelong’s music scene, Warped would have its own chapter. Hell, they could probably fill the entire book.

Benny Watkins and Cris Wilson formed the band in 1991. Only thirteen-years-old at the time, they could consider themselves veterans by the time they reached legal age. There may be some reading who will remember their ‘Seven Nights of Sin’ stretch at the North Melbourne Town Hall in 2002. More than 150 people would squeeze themselves into the tiny 70-capacity room, with revellers spilling out onto the laneway.

Their supports are equally as crazy – Dinosaur Jr., Fugazi, Henry Rollins, Audioslave, The Melvins and Andrew W.K. among them.

The Barwon Club, Geelong – April 15. With guests.
