Calling Utopia Lock in Bendigo and Ballarat Shows

When you live in a small town, a healthy imagination can work wonders. For sisters Sarah and Jess Renehan, their escape was through music. It is here we are introduced to Calling Utopia.

Formed in 2008, the sisters began their rock and roll journey the following year, making a 1600km trek drive up to Brisbane for a recording session. A month later, 13 tracks were laid out for the band’s debut album, XIII. More recently, the band worked with a handful of other artists on the compilation album It’s Not What It Looks Like. The album seeks to raise funds for The Butterfly Foundation, an organisation that helps those with eating disorders.

Music Man, Bendigo – May 7 & Babushka Bar, Ballarat – May 13.
