Bendigo Queer Film Festival

The Bendigo Queer Film Festival celebrates its 13th outing in April. The festival was founded in 2004 by Chris Walters in collaboration with the Melbourne Queer Film Festival and welcomed more than 300 people to its inaugural event.

The festival has grown in the years since and is proud to have screened more than 200 films across its journey. Opening night takes place at Star Cinema on April 22 with a screening of ‘Remembering the Man’, a documentary about the true story of John Caleo and Tim Conigrave. A Masquerade Party will follow. Leading up to the event is the ‘Queer Country Art Exhibition’, which runs from April 8 at Dudley House.
