Things are changing in the Geelong After Dark world. While this year will again bring the city alive after 6pm, there have been a few changes made to the running of the event which will hopefully make your night the best it possibly can be.
Boom Gallery is located in the thriving creative hub of Rutland St, Newtown. Housed in a former woolen mill, the industrial building boasts three main exhibition spaces, a design gallery featuring handmade ceramics and jewellery, a vibrant cafe and artwork stockroom. Boom also offers a diverse program of art classes and workshops for all ages ranging from painting and drawing to weaving and flower arranging. Factory 21 is also run by Boom, leasing studios for artists, creative practitioners and small businesses.
In the not so distant past, experts said we would never buy clothes online. They were wrong. Even today when e-commerce has become the norm, people are surprised when you tell them you buy your art online. “I wouldn’t trust buying art online” and “I have to see art with my own eyes first” are common responses.
Having created DEMOCRATIC SET films in 28 cities around the world, Back to Back Theatre is inviting the local community to join them in the making of THE DEMOCRATIC SET Geelong.
