Winter is definitely setting in – even the buskers have muffled bodies as well as muffled sounds. Actually, have you noticed the gear buskers are now using? Large DC powered amps, requiring huge car batteries to run. We will soon see a generation of buskers with great sound and tight physique – a new Olympic sport: carry your entire music kit in one lift!
The combined talents of Adrian ‘Edo’ Rafter and Dyl Thomas are behind Milwaukee Banks, a Melbourne based hip hop/electronic duo who recently dropped their debut album, Deep into the Night.
Well, if you didn’t manage to get to Derek and the Champ’s gig at Sleepy Hollow Blues Club, you missed out big time. They kicked off with Time is Tight from Booker T and the MGs and, believe it or not, it just got better from there. You’ll just have to keep an eye on their Facebook page for the next gig.
